Fortnite Pirate Shop Token: activation, deadlines & rewards

How to activate Pirate Shop Access (and when the 14-day timer starts)
When you win the reward in Battle Royale, the on-screen banner reads “YOU FOUND PIRATE SHOP ACCESS.” Your 14-day free claiming window only begins when you manually activate it in the Item Shop.
- Return to the lobby and open the Item Shop. After unlocking Pirate Shop Access, open the shop to view the “Start Your Plundering!” prompt or select “Plunder the Item Shop.”
- Review the rules and press “Activate Now” when ready. Pressing Activate Now starts your 14-day countdown immediately. You can also choose Close and activate later before the yearly cutoff.
- Claim eligible V-Bucks items manually during your 14 days. Eligible offers display as Free (0 V-Bucks) in the Item Shop while your Pirate Shop is active, but you must visit the shop and claim them before each rotation leaves.
2026 activation cutoff: (Dec 16, 00:00 UTC).
Do not wait until late December or Christmas based on early creator speculation. Also note that the December 15, 2026 activation deadline is the last moment to activate an already-earned 2026 token in the Item Shop—not a confirmed date for when tokens stop dropping in chests.

Epic’s season announcement points to a Chapter 7 end event on December 5, 2026. That announcement does not establish the exact last time a chest can award Pirate Shop Access. The captured December 15, 2026, 6 PM GMT-6 deadline applies to activating already-earned 2026 access. A second activation is described for 2027; check the in-game prompt for its exact cutoff. Do not treat these as one shared end date.
Two activations (2026 & 2027): what is included and excluded
The captured in-game unlock screen states verbatim: “Plunder the Fortnite Item Shop - twice! Activate the Pirate Shop once in 2026 and once in 2027. Included
- V-Bucks Item Shop offers (0 V-Bucks): Outfits, bundles, pickaxes, emotes, gliders, Jam Tracks and vehicle bundles sold for V-Bucks during your active 14-day window—including new daily shop rotations. Everything you manually claim stays permanently in your Locker after the 14 days end.
- Up to 1 unowned Sidekick: You may claim one free Sidekick you do not already own (no duplicate Sidekicks).
- Two separate 14-day windows: One 14-day activation in 2026 and a second 14-day activation in 2027 (four weeks total across the two years).
Excluded
- Real-money offers: Cash packs and starter/quest packs priced in real currency rather than V-Bucks.
- Gifting: You cannot send free Item Shop gifts to friends using Pirate Shop Access.
- Passes, levels & pass rewards: Battle Pass, OG Pass, LEGO Pass and pass tier/reward purchases are excluded.
- Account transfers: The treasure is strictly tied to the winning account and is not transferable.
About the 2027 window: When your 2026 activation is active, the shop banner notes that your next Pirate Shop activation will be available in 2027 (Osky shop screen (01:04)). While NOOB NOOB FRUIT’s description lists Jan 1 – Dec 15 for 2027, the captured in-game screen does not print the exact 2027 cutoff hour—check the in-game prompt when 2027 opens rather than relying on an unprinted timestamp.
Other Treasure Hunters chest rewards (and how to tell them apart)
Opening chests on Crossbones Isle can trigger a golden glow and a “TREASURE FOUND!” notification for several prizes besides Pirate Shop Access. Always read the exact prize title on the banner before assuming you won the 14-day shop token.

Weekly rotation: current vs. upcoming
Cosmetic chest pools rotate weekly. As of Nov 3, 2026, the Week 1 pool features the A$AP Rocky gold set and the Mercedes-AMG G 63 SUV set. The Week 2 preview adds the Solid Gold Lil Uzi Vert set (outfit, Back Bling and Loading Screen). Check your in-game Treasure tab for the live weekly pool; Pirate Shop Access and Treasure Gizmos remain in the prize pool across weeks.
Squad notifications & reward types
When any squadmate opens a chest that rolls a Treasure Hunt reward—whether a Gizmo, a Locker cosmetic, or Pirate Shop Access—the event rules state that every player on the squad receives the reward. The reviewed sources do not establish a pity timer or bad-luck protection system, so do not assume finding a Gizmo or gold cosmetic resets or warms up your next chest roll.
Pirate Shop Token redeem codes, scams & account security
No working Token-unlocking redeem code is established in the reviewed material. Creator codes entered in the Fortnite Item Shop (such as a YouTuber’s Support-A-Creator code) only direct a share of purchases to that creator and do not unlock the Pirate Shop or increase your chest drop rate.
Because the in-game unlock screen explicitly states “This treasure is not transferable” and advises players to “Protect your plunder! Learn more about how to enable two-factor authentication” (NNF scam & 2FA warning (06:57)), never pay for a promised Token code, account transfer or lobby drop, and never enter your Epic Games credentials on third-party websites.
